Dental implants
in Lafayette, LA, and Fort Collins, CO
If you’re living with missing or failing teeth, struggling with a loose-fitting denture, or simply don’t feel like yourself when you smile, dental implants can provide a permanent, natural-looking solution. They can help you eat more comfortably, speak clearly, feel more confident in social situations, and get back to enjoying everyday life.

Losing teeth impacts more than just your smile
Most people know that losing teeth changes the way you look and feel, but what many don't realize is that the effects go much deeper than the surface. When a tooth is lost, the jawbone beneath it loses the stimulation it needs to stay healthy, and it begins to resorb and shrink. In just the first year after tooth loss, bone width can decrease by as much as 25%, and over time that bone loss adds up, causing the lower third of the face to gradually collapse, the lips to sag, and that familiar sunken appearance that can make someone look older or unhappy even when they're not.
Beyond appearance, significant bone loss can also make the jaw more prone to fractures. The good news is that dental implants are the only tooth replacement option that actually addresses this problem at the root, because they replace not just the visible tooth but the root itself, restoring the stimulation your jawbone needs to stay strong. At Restoral Dental Dentures & Implants, we take tooth loss seriously because we know what's at stake, and we're here to help you do something about it before the hidden consequences compound.
How dental implants can help
Dental implants are widely considered the gold standard in tooth replacement, and for good reason. Here's what makes them different from every other option out there.
Natural look and feel
Implants are designed to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth in both appearance and function. Most patients forget they even have them.
Built to last a lifetime
With proper care, dental implants can last decades, making them one of the most cost-effective long-term investments you can make in your oral health and your quality of life.
Helps prevent bone loss
When a tooth is lost, the jawbone underneath begins to deteriorate over time. Implants stimulate the bone just like a natural tooth root does, helping preserve your facial structure and preventing that sunken look that can come with tooth loss.

The dental implant process
Your free consultation and custom treatment plan
Your dental care journey with us begins with a thorough dental examination, 3D scan, and review of your medical history. We’ll help you develop a treatment plan that’s right for you, whether that means remaking your denture, determining if implants may be appropriate, or deciding which type of implant-supported denture best fits your needs. Your consultation is free.
Implant placement
On the day of your procedure, your implant or implants are placed directly into your jawbone in our office by our surgical team. We offer a full range of sedation options, including laughing gas, oral conscious sedation, and IV sedation, so you can choose the level of comfort that’s right for you. Most patients are surprised by how manageable the experience is.
Healing and restoration
After placement, your dental implant will heal and bond with the surrounding bone over a period of several months. Once it has healed and fully integrated, we’ll attach your custom-fabricated crown, bridge, or full-arch restoration, completing your new smile. Our team will be with you every step of the way, checking in and making sure your healing stays on track.

Most adults who have adequate bone density in their jaw are good candidates for dental implants. Even if you've experienced some bone loss, options like mini implants or bone grafting may still make implants possible for you. The best way to find out is to come in for a free consultation, where we'll take a 3D scan and give you a clear, honest assessment of your options.
With proper care and regular maintenance, dental implants can last a lifetime. The crown or restoration attached to the implant may need to be replaced over time due to normal wear, but the implant itself is designed to be a permanent solution. Our team will give you everything you need to know to care for your implants and protect your investment long-term.
In many cases, yes. Bone loss is one of the most common concerns we hear from patients who have been living with missing teeth or wearing dentures for a while, and it doesn't automatically disqualify you from implant treatment. Depending on the extent of your bone loss, options like mini implants, All-on-X, or bone grafting may still make implants possible for you. The only way to know for sure is to come in for a free consultation, where we'll take a full CBCT 3D scan and give you an honest picture of what's possible for your specific situation.
